MISSION

The Mission of the Meridian Athletic Boosters is to promote participation in sports activities at Stillman Valley High School and to make these activities available and attractive to both boys and girls. The Athletic Boosters strive to achieve this objective by promoting the purchase of equipment and upgrading, renovating, and maintaining athletic facilities. Through fundraising and donations, the Athletic Booster is able to assist the athletic department in the cost of these projects. The end goal is to foster, expand, and facilitate interest in all school-sponsored sports activities and encourage the spirit of good sportsmanship and fellowship.

The items purchased for the various groups were requested by the coaches and approved by the Athletic Director. It is important to remember that all sports are not in need of the same monetary value of equipment and facilities.

The Meridian Athletic Boosters Club is looking for parents of children in the Meridian District who can help keep the program alive so when their children get to high school they too will be able to have the support from Boosters to provide financial assistance to the school sports and other programs.

Things that are provided by boosters due to school financial restraints include: training aids for programs, equipment, technology aids, and financial help …for various school activity programs who go down state.

Boosters have provided many thousands of dollars to the Stillman Valley sports programs. Some of these items from coaches requests included: boys soccer uniforms, help with baseball infield, baseball uniforms home and away, track uniforms, new pop up tent for track athletes, Boys Basketball uniforms, I-pad for Girls Basketball stat tracking, wrestling mat, and aids for Golf, Volleyball jerseys, Girls Soccer warm-ups, Girls Basketball warm-ups, and along with the district the resurfacing of the main gym, along with many smaller donations. All of the money spent on these items for all of our athletes comes from money earned by selling cash calendars and fundraisers such as Chop Fest,  and silent auctions, and football/volleyball/ basketball/wrestling concessions.
